Rules to Guide Business Success
Here are a few guidelines that I have found to be very helpful to me throughout my career. Many (most!) are applicable to my personal life, too. I hope some may resonate with you.
Lead with Patience, Heart, and Steadfastness

-You don’t need to attend every argument to which you are invited
-Adapt quickly; lead and guide change
-If you prepare for the worst, you get the best
-Treat people with honest, kindness, and respect
Listen, Collaborate, and Encourage
-Seek first to understand, then to be understood [MORE]
-Seek and genuinely listen to the counsel of wise advisers
-Seek buy-in and be open to making changes that don’t compromise the overall vision
-Collaborate; don’t reject the best ideas just because they may not be yours
-Empower and encourage
Be Bold, Courageous, and Persevere
-Persevere in sales. Be an “Eight Percenter” [MORE]
-Actively seek out and leap through small windows of opportunity when they present themselves
-Challenge the status quo, especially when it’s not working; Always Be Curious (ABC)
